Bumblejerk

The sequel to Why I won’t be buying Cliffjumper…

My future Mrs. has claim on all animated Bumblebees in my collection, so naturally she’s got a, um, friendly rivalry going on between Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. After seeing my Cliffy with his shiny big friggin gun, she calls me today and says there’s a surprise waiting for me when I get home.

This is what I found…

She is indeed awesome. :D

  1. My girly won’t touch mine anymore. I had the whole OMGYOUPUL’DHISARMSOFFLEMMESEEIT one day a few years ago.

I’m still trying to live that down and tell her it’s ok, “Some parts are made to detach if excessive force is applied and are designed to be reattached if separation occurs”.

She does like the activators though oddly enough…

  2. I had a girlfriend who was also into comics and Transformers. She was also good at… various other things.

Unfortunately, she moved to California, or I probably would have married her, and not fathered any children, as I dislike most kids, which is kind of ironic, given the things I’m into.

  3. My ex was too scared to come into my bedroom because she was worried that she’d knock all my toys over with her innate clumsiness.

OR AT LEAST THAT WAS WHAT SHE TOLD ME. ._.

  4. Nope. Just googled it and found it under wheeljack, though.

Bosch, that made me lol. :)

  5. I mulled over a bit what to add to “Bumble” or to “Bee” and Bumblejerk seemed most natural.

I should really read the IDW comics sometime…

  6. You should. They’re very good.

All Hail Megatron has some issues, but has gotten better recently. The B-covers by Trevor Hutchinson are awesome.

  7. @Monty: Yes, AHM is really getting good, The first 4 issues hooked me Big Time. The B covers are incredible, I keep turning them into wall papers for my phone and computer. Matt, wait for the collected series though, since it’s halfway through, it will be cheaper/easy to get then.

@Matt: I told/showed the girly this post and it just started all over again!

Her: “You get all over excited when I touch them!”
Me: “Not anymore..well, okay, maybe with MP Megatron..”
    Her: “See!!”
Me: Okay, turnabout is fair play, let me go dig around in your cosmetics for a bit.”
Her: “Now let’s not be hasty…”

    Hilarity ensued..well, not really.

  8. Legal in what aspect? If you mean the whole American way they demand orange plugs on toy guns, then yeah, I dislike that too.

Mine came from Japan with an orange barrel plug, but believe me, the plug was a joke, it was some orange rubbery taper with a flat round end and some yellow tape around the stem of it to hold it in the barrel more snug. Came out with barely a tug on it.

I will say it is nice, but it has some drawbacks. It is really complicated to transform, I have only done mine once, and that was nerve wracking. The gun mode is supposed to be based on the walther series but once in that mode, it’s more comparable in size to a Desert Eagle .50(Ever see a little kid hold a hand gun? That’s how I felt due to it’s size). And the last bit is the huge scope/arm cannon, it is about a 1/3 too big in bot mode and produces a fair amount of instability in trying to pose Megatron, which he himself is not 100% to begin with. They make the accessory kit that addresses that with some die cast metal shins which I will get one day. Other than that, it is a really nice piece.

  9. Oh, that aspect! I was thinking legal as in, well, that’s a different kind of gun.

I’m still hoping for a Hasbro release of MP Grimlock. I like it, but it’s more of a $40 like than a $150 like. Even with less pointy teeth and less of the shiny, I’d rather get a cheap release.

  10. I think if someone was smart enough to put Meg’s into his alt mode, they’d be smart enough not to use it as a gun for something serious, becuae it would not pass and the huge purple Decepticon symbols on the side would be a huge give away. Then again, there is no accounting for intelligence in today’s modern society.

Yes, MP Grimmy is on my big time want list. I’m kinda hard pressed to wait for fear Hasbro won’t release it and then it’ll be up to 300+ this time next year. My b-day is in a few months, maybe I’ll get one for myself then.

  11. I want an MP Wreck-Gar.

    And a Classics/Universe Wreck-Gar.

    And a movie Wreck-Gar.

And anywhere else they can fit in a Wreck-Gar.

If Hasbro does release MP Grimlock, it would be awesome if he had a separate decal sheet with things like that “Big Grim” shoulder marking he had in the G2 comic. I’m also hoping they’ll do another release of MP Optimus for the 25th anniversary, as I still need to get him.

  12. Doesn’t that make it more badass to have one, then?

More difficult to obtain, but maybe you could have someone smuggle it to you in pieces.

And Monty, have you seen THIS?

I am tempted to try my hand at that…
