The MOAR You Know – Cats Hate Pineapple
Friday, March 26th, 2010The MOAR You Know – ROTF Legends Soundwave
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010ROTF Legends Soundwave is actually a pretty cool little figure. The main thing it’s missing is a set of knees. The alt mode looks great in online pictures because HasTak doesn’t show you the massive chest kibble just kind of hanging out on the side, but honestly it’s not too bad.
But so far as I’m concerned, Soundwave’s got a beast mode!
Nursing Ratchet, Part 7
Tuesday, March 16th, 2010Welcome back to my mod guide on how to fix rotf deluxe Ratchet! Today’s step is about fixing Ratchet’s alt mode kibble.
Ratchet comes packaged in alt mode, and actually looks pretty decent so far as representations go. But one of the first things you notice about it, to the point it just about smacks you in the face, is the kibble. It doesn’t look like it even rolls.
Nursing Ratchet, Part 6
Monday, March 15th, 2010Welcome back to my guide on how to fix Revenge of the Fallen deluxe Ratchet. Today’s mod takes care of the tab behind Ratchet’s head in bot mode.
I thought about keeping it for a while, and even picturing it as an extra armor plate. It’s cool that way, but it’s even better now that it can fold away for non hostile situations.
Nursing Ratchet, Part 5
Friday, March 12th, 2010Welcome back to part 5 of my guide on how to fix your ROTF deluxe Ratchet! Today’s step is an easy one, not being a mod so much as a better transformation. Still, it’s a simple thing that people overlook and it fixes a very annoying problem with Ratchet.
Nursing Ratchet, Part 4
Thursday, March 11th, 2010Welcome back to part 4 of my ROTF deluxe Ratchet mod fix guide. If you remember from the first part of the guide, one of the things I really don’t like about the voyager Ratchet mold is that it has two wheels sticking straight up on either side of his head.
The deluxe mold takes care of that, but not enough! But hey, that’s what guides are for, and today we tackle ROTF deluxe Ratchet’s shoulder kibble problem!
Nursing Ratchet, Part 3
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010Welcome back to part 3 and step 2 of my mod fix guide for ROTF deluxe Ratchet. If you’ve been following along, you should have a Ratchet with full side to side head movement.
Today’s step gives him the ability to tilt his head back. That may not sound like much, but it adds new depth to his head articulation’s range of motion and really ups his expressive ability.
This step is more involved than yesterday’s mod, but it’s worth the effort.
Nursing Ratchet, Part 2
Tuesday, March 9th, 2010Welcome to part two of my guide on how to fix ROTF deluxe Ratchet. The first two steps are both designed to drastically improve Ratchet’s head articulation.
Today’s mod is the easier of the two, and pretty much a necessity if you want to get dynamic poses out of your Ratchet.

Nursing Ratchet, Part 1
Monday, March 8th, 2010Welcome to Nursing Ratchet week, a guide on how to fix and mod ROTF deluxe Ratchet!
I never liked the movie voyager Ratchet mold. I wanted to, but its got way too many problems. The vehicle mode isn’t too bad, but I don’t collect vehicles. In bot mode he’s got weird proportions, with huge arms, legs, and chest, but a tiny torso. His head looks like he’s squinting or crying, and there’s weird gaps in his shoulders, but worst of all the front wheels just stand straight up on either side of his head. For some reason that always bugged me about it.
Maybe if I ever found one for cheap, I might give it a try, but thanks to HasTak’s great new ROTF deluxe Ratchet, it’ll have to be really cheap.
