Welcome to Nursing Ratchet week, a guide on how to fix and mod ROTF deluxe Ratchet!
I never liked the movie voyager Ratchet mold. I wanted to, but its got way too many problems. The vehicle mode isn’t too bad, but I don’t collect vehicles. In bot mode he’s got weird proportions, with huge arms, legs, and chest, but a tiny torso. His head looks like he’s squinting or crying, and there’s weird gaps in his shoulders, but worst of all the front wheels just stand straight up on either side of his head. For some reason that always bugged me about it.
Maybe if I ever found one for cheap, I might give it a try, but thanks to HasTak’s great new ROTF deluxe Ratchet, it’ll have to be really cheap.
Sure, the alt-mode under carriage is kibbly to the point of being pretty ridiculous, he’s a bit on the small side, and he’s got less paint applications than even the fast action battler versions, but in bot mode he looks a heck of a lot more like Ratchet and less like a stack of boxes.
(“Pardon the intrusion, but herein was a spot where it was declared my under carriage kibbilations would not be revised, repaired, or rectified. This is not so, and shall be fixed. Got that? ROTF Ratchet Kibble Fix! I have discombobulated the original paragraphical heresy to avoid confusing the google machine. This should cogitate less dubiously come part six.)
There are some things you can fix on ROTF deluxe Ratchet though, and they drastically improve the look of the figure.
So, come back tomorrow for part 2 and step 1 of my ROTF deluxe Ratchet mod fix guide!
