Generations Blurr Review!
Yes, you read that right. I’ve finally splurged a massive amount of cash and joined the ranks of advance video reviewers such as Peaugh and Genzao! I am super excited to bring you this, as not only is Transformers Generations Blurr a highly anticpated must have, he is THE must have figure of the generations line! He totally blows Drift out of the rice paddy!
And, as an added bonus: THIS IS A WORLD PREMIER EXCLUSIVE NEVER BEFORE SEEN REVIEW.
That’s right, it may have cost me enough to army build with MP Grimlock, but I got ahold of Generations Blurr before he ever even hit Ebay. Many thanks to my buddy overseas! I hope you enjoy the Vespa!
Please, bear in mind that this is not a proto, and it’s plastered with NOT FOR SALE and a glop of paint across the hood, but I’ve been told this was from the step before it went to factory and even with the flaws he’s super cool.
Yeah yeah. So lets get on with it and get to what you came for!

Transformers Generations Blurr Alt Mode
image
This is probably the worst part of the figure. As you can see, it’s almost identical to Generations Drift, but with a super cool spike on the back in place of a spoiler (ala g1 and animated Blurr), so the alt mode itself is good.
But this is the only mode where the NOT FOR SALE is completely obvious, and that melted wax looking paint glop on the hood just looks terrible.
But as I’ve said before, I don’t collect cars. And eventually when he hits retail I’ll just sell the proto off on ebay. I think Seibertron buys stuff like that.
Moving on! Next up in my Generations Blurr Gallery!
Generations Blurr Robot Mode!
image
Sooooo cool. I really dig how he’s rockin the cornflower blue and emo black, cause Blurr is hard like that and he can pull it off.
He’s a total gunslinger, and the shoulders remind me of a poncho.
image
The MASSIVE BFG BACK CANNON looks like a rifle out of Evangelion. Or maybe I just haven’t seen it in a while.
image
If you look close on the pistols, he’s got little autobot logos.
image
And probably what will be a favorite part of this Generations Blurr Review….
(Say it like Thew from youtube, now…)
THE LIGHTPIPING!
image
Drift kind of reminded me of Springer, but Blurr’s practically a spitting image of his spotlight appearance.
The feet are kind of clunky, but just like Drift they don’t bother the articulation much.

And lets not forget the running pose!

He is NOT touching anything, even though it looks like that brick is kind of close.
Well, that’s it for the review! I’ve hosted the gallery on photobucket cause of all the bandwidth this is likely to take up. In support of TFINO.COM, I am only posting it as news there. If you enjoyed the review, leave a comment!

With animated Blurr.

With Armada Hotshot.

Oh wow, he looks amazing! Is that… a SECOND one in the background? Are you holding out on me?
Nope. I put the mirror there to try and make it look like he was moving fast.
~Matt Booker
Yeah, okay… I know how this works.
*impatiently awaits birthday so he can have Blurry sweetness*
How the hell did you buy that?
Is that paint on the guns or are thier two plastic pieces?
I didn’t get the poncho thing at first, but the more I see it the more it looks like one. WTF?
TF Goon, welcome to MattBooker.info. Stick around for more than just this post and have fun. Same goes to you Lemon Bison!
The guns are painted plastic. It would’ve been nice if they had done some kind of extending or clip gimmick, but it’s better than unpainted like ROTF Brawn’s weapons.

Yeah, the “poncho” look makes me wonder if he might not get a further retool and be Generations Lockdown.
Just noticed the pineapple! ^_^
LOLLERCOP-TUR!
I’m sorry, but I have to say Drift is the superior model. It is the original mold of an ORIGINAL character! Why do you “purists” have to knock down new ideas? Have you READ the comic? He is truly a heroic character, someone looking for redemption. It is if his writers know how to channel an anime style into this american comic (after all, we all know Transformers is much better in the original Japanese, just look at Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: Micron Legend…and no, I will not call it “Armada”). You just don’t understand! Thank god you don’t review on a “real” Transformers site…Now I have to go finish my Edward/Starscream fan fic, which is just awesome you should know…
But, he’s got guns!
~Matt Booker
Otakuboy raises a good point: why couldn’t you be bothered to do any comparison shots with Drift? Is it because you knew that if you put them together, Drift would obviously be superior, and you have to maintain the OMG BLURR SO AWSUM vibe in order to pimp your scoop?
That’s a hell of a way to update after so long. I only came in expecting a quick fix for another one of my figures! =o
Fingers crossed Photobucket stops being a little bitch and puts the pics back up, I can’t tell whether this is genuine or a massive inside joke without em.
NB:- Oh hai ther! =D
I love the look of Blurr overall, but the HUEG cannon on his back just throws off the whole aerodynamic, super-speedy gunslinger aesthetic the rest of the figure has. Oh, and I love what you did with Animated Blurr, transparent neon orange chainsaw FTW! =D
wat
Aw. Too late…. I got a Bandwidth exceeded… and I see a trollface…
Wow. That’s awesome! I totally need to get one of these and do a comic with him and Animated Blurr!
How come you guys can see it? Hm..
Looks fantastic. Can’t wait to add him to the Classics shelf. Thanks for the review/pics Matt!
An army of MP Grimlock, or this… But the NOT FOR SALE markings just aren’t doing it for me. And why is Armada Hot Shot in there, and how did you get him to do that pose?
Wow! The pictures are back up!
Holy cow! I didn’t think the mold would work as Blurr, but with the different head I’m totally buying it!
Zowie! This is a MUST BUY for everyone!
I think I just came.
I’m in love. I kinda want to get both of them so I can have em play GO together.
Matt I don’t know how you pulled this one off, I’m not seeing this guy anywhere else.
I just wonder what his face looks like without the crud on it :(
Dang it Matt! Photobucket!
I can’t see a single picture!
Exceeded bandwidth, no love!
Please, I don’t know what you guys are talking about. Although, speaking of Photobucket, I suddenly feel like upgrading to Pro… today, even!
You should host them somewhere that doesn’t do that. I use Majhost. I put a link in my name, check it out.
Oh man, this whole post is amazing.
Hey, you guys who think this is a joke! You’re wrong! Matt posted some REALLY awesome stuff here!
So you guys can see it with photobucket?
that is teal
How come I can’t see the pics
Hey, Matt, I have a tiny mod guide for Universe 2.0 Inferno you might like:
http://forums.tformers.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=126556&pid=1580443&st=0&#entry1580443
It’s built into the review, at the end.
That looks really cool, John! :D
I’m not sure if I’m going to try it, cause I like the underslung look, but certainly ramps up the nostalgia. Nice review too. As for the mod part of it, my only suggestion would be to take some close up pictures of the gun from different angles.
