Action Pose – Metalhead vs Mousers

The new Nickelodeon Metalhead is a heck of a lot more poseable after modding it for better arms, but what to do with all that extra articulation?

Brawl with M.O.U.S.E.R.S. of course!

I am still impressed by how Nickelodeon and Playmates are handling the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line. The main turtles have great articulation, they’ve brought back the battle shells gimmick, they have playsets, plenty of villains,  and the M.O.U.S.E.R.S. are the best versions they’ve ever made!

They’re tiny chompy robots that aren’t hindered by a stupid gimmick, and they come in army building packs!

They could’ve just thrown a bunch of unarticulated, pre-posed mousers in a package, but instead they made them with great chompy jaws and heads with a wide range of motion. They’re very expressive just from that, but they also did swivels for the hips. There isn’t any knee or ankle articulation, but as tiny as they are it could have caused issues, and the cool factor definitely outweighs it.

If you’re a TMNT fan, you should check these out. They even fit in with the original toyline.

So, dear readers, are these the M.O.U.S.E.R.S. you’ve always wanted? Or are you once bitten and twice shy?

  1. Greyryder, they are very fun, and cheap if you can find them at retail.

Heli, the NECA mousers that actually have articulated jaws do look cool, especially if you mod them to have ankle articulation. :)

  2. I just picked up a package of these. So much personality, in these little guys.

Ankles…. Looks like there’s enough room for the ball end of Lego levers, and I picked up a couple hundred a while back, for articulating GI Joe wrists…..

    Darn it!
