The MOAR You Know – Forming The Head

How does a Headmaster get up onto the bigger robot’s shoulders?

Jetboots?

Jetpacks?

Super sentai action jumps via off camera trampolines?

All of those are likely, but sometimes a cute little robot just needs a hand.

"Alley oop!"

To be ‘hand over head’ means to be doing something recklessly, which sounds like it accurately describes binary bonding with Weirdwolf.

Also, his hand is over his head.

So, dear readers, was that too cute to be an action pose? What if they’re about to do an awesome acrobatic flip complete with Japanese super robot stock footage?

Leave me a comment and let me know! And don’t forget to share this post with any friends who need a hand admitting bright yellow and blue-green wolves are cool.

  1. I like to think that they ride motorcycles up magical rainbow roads to the vacant neck holes, like the pilot of Aphrodite A.

If we’re being serious, though, my solution as a kid was that the heads had rocket boosters that allowed them to fly up into place. I’m pretty sure that at least one of the headmasters I had actually featured rocket-like details.

For reference, check out Zarak’s arms here:

You can see the thrusters on the backs of his hands.

  2. Check out Tranzor Z/Mazinger Z. She was the two-tone orange female robot with, uh, let’s say “two chest-launched missiles”.

  3. Oh yeah! Tranzor Z \ Mazinger Z is one of those things I need to at least flip through sometime.
