Action Pose – Human Alliance Leadfoot and Steeljaw

Leadfoot is one of my favorite Human Alliance Transformers. Sure, he looks awful with the official transformation, but that’s what better transformation guides are for.

That better transformation does look cool, and it doesn’t require any modding, but I still wanted some things to fold up more, and I really like having the tires fold together to form part of his, well, spare tire.

So I trimmed away some plastic so the hood pieces could fold up more and transformed Leadfoot a bit differently.

Here’s the result.

Leadfoot has lost a bit of his bulk, but I think it looks a lot better. I didn’t do a mod guide for this because other people have done similar mods. Stuff like rounding off square corners to turn a pinned connection into a hinge joint.

I have a few other mods I might eventually do for Leadfoot, and I can do a guide for those. If I do, I’ll post some pictures showing what I did for this too.

So, dear readers, should Steeljaw have been in the movie? Why does Hasbro keep using pinkish gray plastic?

  1. Should Steeljaw have been in the movie? GOD no! I was worried that when we saw him briefly in the comic prequels, that he would be in the film. No, this version of Steeljaw belongs with Skidz and Mudflap.

  2. The Bob, but it’s a slobbering robo pooch! It at least needs its own spinoff short where it teams up with a cranky human detective.

    And thanks, Henry!

  3. Steeljaw would have been cool. I tried and tried to love Leadfoot but he is a mess. I played with him and tried to pose and fiddle with his design but him and the green dude, I forgot his name, they just piss me off. I like posing my toys. They have a ton of joints but none that actually look good in a pose.

  4. I’m with TMan; Leadfoot just never did it for me. I sold him off shortly after getting him.

Steeljaw, though, totally made the cut. He hangs out with my Junkions and fits right in as Wreck-Gar’s junkyard dog.

  5. Damn, your newest mod makes Leadfoot look pretty much perfect now. Will have to try it asap. I always wanted to replicate his tire-gut, and you’ve made it so it all comes together at last.
