Think your PRID Pounderizer Megatron has a crappy alt mode?
You’re right!
But it can be better, and I can show you how.
Want less undercarriage bulk? How about a longer wingspan?

Human Alliance Leadfoot is one of the best Human Alliance figures.
Yes. Really.
What’s that? You’ve heard a lot of people hate the figure and think it’s terrible? Or you’re one of those people?
WELL SCREW YOU THEN! Well perhaps there are some things you haven’t considered.
Agent Simmons of Sector 7 – a sane man to some, a fanatic to others, and a purveyor of delicious deli meat to all!
During his time protecting the free world from frozen doom, Agent Simmons became increasingly aware of patterns- a symbol here, a hieroglyph there, a fossilized rubber ducky found in the vicinity of Mount St. Hillary– patterns which could tie directly into maybe possibly indicating that nbes might have visited earth before the arrival of nbe1 or even the cube!
But did anyone believe him?
Not even the Stonecutters!
Not even Sector 7, who keeps Atlantis off the maps, keeps the Martians under wraps, robs cave fish of their sight, and rigs every Oscar Night!
But we do know…
Simmons was right!
ROTF Legends Soundwave is actually a pretty cool little figure. The main thing it’s missing is a set of knees. The alt mode looks great in online pictures because HasTak doesn’t show you the massive chest kibble just kind of hanging out on the side, but honestly it’s not too bad.
But so far as I’m concerned, Soundwave’s got a beast mode!
Currently a TRU exclusive, the Backroad Brawl two pack features two repaints full of geewunny goodness. Hoist practically sells the set himself, being more of a Classics Hoist than a ROTF Hoist, but Mixmaster…
Well, some people were excited about him, until they saw the newly remolded head and its paint scheme.
So far we’ve taken Human Alliance Skids and fixed his back kibble, fixed the kibble on his right arm, and added a cannon to his left arm. Personally, I would’ve left it there, but the amount of people searching for HA Skids Door Fix or Human Alliance Door Mod is pretty decent, and I’ve had a few people ask me if I was going to fix the wings.
I happen to really like the look of the door wings, even if it’s not movie accurate.
However, I went ahead and modded my HA Skids to have fold away doors. It’s still pretty easy to do, and I’ve got step by step instructions with plenty of pictures. So continue reading for the last step in this Human Alliance Skids Mod Fix guide!
I wasn’t sure what to put for the title of this post, other than the obvious bits about Bruticus and the transformation. According to the tfwiki it’s a Universe release, but complicating things further it’s pretty much a restock of the ROTF version, right down to the box being done in ROTF style.
I think I’ll go with OAFE on this one and consider it part of the Classics series. (Check out that link for Yo Go Re’s review, and check out TFW2005′s feedback thread too.) It’s a direct repaint of Bruticus Maximus from the Energon line, but the color scheme’s been improved- all the homage with none of the clash!
But this site’s not known for tf reviews, so lets get down to it!
Jolt! If ever there was a tf that could benefit from some well placed leds, Jolt would be it. Even with all the lost paint apps on the final toy, some internal leds could really light up that mostly hollow and very translucent blue chest.
In Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, Long Haul didn’t do much aside from being big and green and badass. Really, he was just there to fill out some scenes and provide a reason to make the toy version.
As Constructicon transformers go, Long Haul is currently my favorite. He barely beats out Rampage, with Mixmaster after that. Long Haul gets points for being one of my favorite colors, and for being great without mods.
Yeah, I like to do mods, but sometimes it’s nice when HasTak gives me the day off.
What’s that? You were expecting me to mod him?
Lots of fans have been impressed with the Activators sub line of Transformers Animated toys, but personally I’ve found them pretty lacking, especially for the price point. (Currently walmart has deluxe tfs for $7.77 and activators are actually more expensive!)
The only one that I can honestly recommend buying is an activators Bumblebee. He’s awesome fun, and I’m not just saying that out of fear.
*looks around nervously*
I recently picked up activators Megatron and Grimlock, and while Grimlock was neat, his ‘nudge me and I’ll transform’ habit was a bit annoying.
Megatron’s biggest problem would’ve been the gray liliac color, if I hadn’t found that amusing. Instead, I was mostly annoyed at his slapped together alt mode. The front is fine, but the back just doesn’t look solid, especially when viewed from the side.
That’s fixable, though, and no modding is required!
