Welcome back to part 3 and step 2 of my mod fix guide for ROTF deluxe Ratchet. If you’ve been following along, you should have a Ratchet with full side to side head movement.
Today’s step gives him the ability to tilt his head back. That may not sound like much, but it adds new depth to his head articulation’s range of motion and really ups his expressive ability.
This step is more involved than yesterday’s mod, but it’s worth the effort.

Today’s mod is the easier of the two, and pretty much a necessity if you want to get dynamic poses out of your Ratchet.

I never liked the movie voyager Ratchet mold. I wanted to, but its got way too many problems. The vehicle mode isn’t too bad, but I don’t collect vehicles. In bot mode he’s got weird proportions, with huge arms, legs, and chest, but a tiny torso. His head looks like he’s squinting or crying, and there’s weird gaps in his shoulders, but worst of all the front wheels just stand straight up on either side of his head. For some reason that always bugged me about it.
Maybe if I ever found one for cheap, I might give it a try, but thanks to HasTak’s great new ROTF deluxe Ratchet, it’ll have to be really cheap.

As per the usual, here’s where the actual content starts. Today’s step is a guide unto itself, fixing a problem that’s really bothered me about Brawl.

You may remember my K-mart ire about Leader Brawl’s desert version.
I acquired a one (for SIGNIFICANTLY less than $50) and was pretty happy with it. Deluxe is my favorite size, and it takes a lot for me to like a Leader Class mold.
Larger robots have to be pretty cool, or made up of five magical robot space lions, or something.
Currently a TRU exclusive, the Backroad Brawl two pack features two repaints full of geewunny goodness. Hoist practically sells the set himself, being more of a Classics Hoist than a ROTF Hoist, but Mixmaster…
Well, some people were excited about him, until they saw the newly remolded head and its paint scheme.
So yesterday’s post was easy… Just a couple of cuts and suddenly you’ve got a better looking right arm on your HA Skids. Today’s step is a little more involved, and may take a few hours to complete, but most of that is waiting!

Human Alliance Skids Mod Fix Guide GO!
Today’s next step in my Human Alliance Skids Mod Fix Guide is quick and easy, but here’s where some of you may choose not to do a step.
I think the previous step improves HA Skids so much, that fixing his backpack kibble is pretty much a necessity for a badass Skids. But if you didn’t like his decreased Human Alliance functionality, you’re really not going to like today’s step.
