This is the set up on top of my video shelf. It’s not exactly an action pose, but sometimes the anticipation of one is better.

Thursday, November 11th, 2010Headrobots Hothead Detailed Pictorial Review
Monday, November 8th, 2010Headrobots is a 3rd party company, not officially endorsed by HasTak, and thus far has done two primary releases, that of the lackluster Snake mold, and more recently Hothead.
The cost and sometimes questionable quality of 3rd party products has kept me from purchasing very many. I have and can easily recommend Fansproject’s Bruticus set, and I’ve got the targetmaster for the upcoming Rodimus set on preorder, but thus far Headrobots only release to even tempt me was Hothead.
As I’ve not ordered anything else from them, I waited until a few reviews had shown up online before ordering one. However, most of them have been nothing but people happily saying the set looks great. I can tell the set looks great, but what is it really like?
Is Headrobots Hothead really worth it?
Simmons Was Right! – Sidearm Sideswipe
Tuesday, October 26th, 2010Agent Simmons of Sector 7 – a sane man to some, a fanatic to others, and a purveyor of delicious deli meat to all!
During his time protecting the free world from frozen doom, Agent Simmons became increasingly aware of patterns- a symbol here, a hieroglyph there, a fossilized rubber ducky found in the vicinity of Mount St. Hillary– patterns which could tie directly into maybe possibly indicating that nbes might have visited earth before the arrival of nbe1 or even the cube!
But did anyone believe him?
Not even the Stonecutters!
Not even Sector 7, who keeps Atlantis off the maps, keeps the Martians under wraps, robs cave fish of their sight, and rigs every Oscar Night!
But we do know…
Simmons was right!
Animated Arcee Leg Mod
Friday, October 22nd, 2010Way back when I first got Animated Arcee, I did a The MOAR You Know post about her, but didn’t mention the mod I did for her leg.
The lower part of Arcee’s right leg just wouldn’t close up at the knee for bot mode. The left was fine, but there was too much plastic on the right one.
Originally I was waiting to see if other people were reporting the problem, and I posted a very quick guide on the feedback thread on tfw2005 for it. It’s probably still an excess plastic variance issue, but quite a few people have complained about it.
For instance, Luke’s Arcee had an issue at first, but after he pushed a little harder it worked fine after that. On my Arcee there was too much plastic to the point that forcing it either wouldn’t work or might have broken something.
But as the feedback thread on tfw2005 still has people complaining about it, it looks like the issue is there even with the running change for Arcee’s plastic color.
So if you happen to have an Arcee and it has this problem, here’s a quick guide on how to fix it.

Sidearm Sideswipe Flight Mode
Tuesday, October 19th, 2010Frenzy Rumble Scout Size Confirmed
Thursday, October 14th, 2010BigBadToystore.com posted pictures this morning of both the prototype deluxe class Wheeljack and a picture of either Rumble or Frenzy.
Rumble and Frenzy are being sold by Takara as a two pack at the voyager price point, which would usually mean that both figures are deluxes, similar to Animated’s Jefire and Jetstorm.
Along that same line of reasoning, if the figures were scouts, they’d just be sold at the deluxe price point, like ROTF’s Skids and Mudflap as an ice cream truck.
However, Skids and Mudflap were actually smaller than most scout class figures, whereas Frenzy\Rumble appear to be on the bigger end of scout size.
How do I know this?
