Captain’s Log, November 3rd, 2009.
Finished Chapter One tonight.
Captain’s Log, November 2nd, 2009.
It’s been two days and I’ve wrote a few thousand words. The voyage is going well, and I’ve even managed to work in a hidden reference to goatse.
Nothing like leaving a rotten easter egg. How many of you will be looking for that, now?
Captains Log, November 1rst, 2009.
Today’s the day for settin sail, but I haven’t set the ship a’sea just yet. Not sure how long the metaphor will continue, as the month goes on and the waters demand more and more of me to navigate. The crew murmur to themselves, uttering half heard and broken spoken fears of the port suffering for the voyage.
October often makes me think of this. I wrote it a few years ago, and it’s especially appropriate as it’s near the end of the month. I still enjoy it, so I thought I’d do a post for it. (more…)
Hasbro has released a G1 deco of Powerglide for the Universe \ Classics 2.0 line.
And some people still think they don’t listen!
Okay, so maybe it’s listening to our money, and maybe it’s not always financially best to do what the collector’s want, but they do listen.
You know, so far as blogs go, this one’s pretty impersonal. It’s mostly guides or funny observations, and only rarely do I scale the soap box (it’s pretty tall, but not quite a high horse) to opine and inflame with a raucous or a rally.
But today, I wanted to talk about today.
So, I picked up an Elite Guard Bumblebee as a present for my future Mrs.
After a quick custom mod, I gotta say… He’s pretty impressive. Thankfully he does not have a yellow head, as all the promo, stock, and package pictures show. The yellow that is there actually enhances the black (and the black enhances the yellow in return), with the deep blue of the stingers and his eyes as delicious icing on this creamy cake of animated goodness.
Maybe it’s the tiny eyes of the movie figs, but boy do I enjoy this Bee’s light piping!
All in all, I must now declare him…
Lots of spam comments lately. Most of them are repetitive comments saying some slight variation of ‘hey good post, very thoughtful. OH BY THE WAY I FOUND A PLACE TO WATCH TRANSFORMERS 2 ONLINE CLIK HERE KAY THANKS!”
Seriously. What idiot thinks this is good marketing for anything?
With this being mainly (so far) a transformers blog I am apparently attracting all the dumb ass ones about watching the movie online at what’s probably a scam site.
It makes me kind of miss the more interesting spam, where at least there was some variety.
That gets me thinking… If the Junkions in G1 learned to speak from old earth tv signals, what if a modern show had them intercepting internet spam?
Last weekend was the grand start of another new line, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Call em Bionicle, Bayformers, Ugly, or just plane Awesome, they’re here for the next couple of years. With the demise of Animated confirmed at Botcon, and Universe\Classics 3.0 a long way off, how many of you will drown your sorrows in the sultry seductions of Bay’s bug-eyed bots?
I know I will.
